Board of Trustees
Oliver Laws
Oliver grew up in London and has lived in Norfolk since 2000. He completed an apprenticeship as a typesetter and worked in the printing and publishing industry in England, France and Australia before changing direction towards working with people. After completing some voluntary work with offenders Oliver was given his first opportunity to work in the field by Moveon east, where he completed a short contract working on a project funded by Norfolk Probation Service (now Norfolk & Suffolk Probation Trust).
Oliver qualified as a social worker in 2006 and has worked in Children’s Services since. He has held a position on the Moveon east Board of Trustees since 2003 and was elected Chair in late 2010.
Oliver is a great believer in the benefits of rehabilitation and in our ability to change and improve our lives. He is very enthusiastic about the work Moveon east is doing at the moment and feels privileged to be involved in the organisation and to have a part to play in deciding the direction we will take in the future.
Oliver is married and has two children. He keeps pigs and chickens and enjoys the outdoors.
